ANEEJ, LAPO To Partner UBTH, Others For Indigent Healthcare Patients In Edo

Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ and Lift Above Poverty Organisation, LAPO have expressed plans to partner with the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH, among others to ease the sufferings indigent patients are faced with in accessing healthcare services in Edo State.

This was made known on Thursday in a statement personally signed by the Executive Director of Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice, ANEEJ, Reverend David Ugolor after the founder of Lift Above Poverty Organisation, LAPO, Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe visited the ANEEJ boss at his Benin residence following the human rights boss successful surgery at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH.

Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe recalled previous ease of healthcare services tagged “Itohan” initiated to ameliorate the sufferings of the indigent healthcare patients in Edo State after Reverend David Ugolor shared personal experiences of the sufferings indigent patients faced during his two weeks hospitalisation at the UBTH.

David Ugolor expressed words of appreciation to Godwin Ehigiamusoe for the support and prompt dispatched of an ambulance to quickly transport him from UBTH to the Benin Medical Centre, which he described the prompt action as very crucial to facilitate the urgent CT scan required for the diagnosis.

“Today, the Founder of Lift Above Poverty (LAPO), Dr. Godwin Ehigiamusoe, made a surprise visit to Rev. David Ugolor’s residence in Ogunmwenyin, Benin City, to express his well wishes for a speedy recovery following his recent surgery at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). The visit was a heartfelt gesture of support and gratitude for the kindness and swift response shown by Dr. Ehigiamusoe during a critical moment of need.

During the visit, Rev.
