Google has commenced the removal of the deceptive website red badge placed on our site, osazuwaakonedo.news this early morning following a security report from the Internet giant that the site has been hacked specifically on a post titled; “What Is Nigeria Government For, Buhari Goes Hard On Editor”.
We woke up this morning with security warning alert from our site indicating that Google has detected a snippet placed on the site and the Internet giant has placed a red banner; warning visitors not to visit the site as they may be affected by the deceptive snippet.
Google in its report to us specifically pointed out the last post published before the attack being “What Is Nigeria Government For, Buhari Goes Hard On Editor” to be the one infected with the virus.
A quick check on Chrome, Mozilla, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Blogger, Google News among other several app browsers shows the apps prevented visitors from reaching our site this morning following Google’s warning. Apps like Google Chrome and Mozilla displayed the red banner conspicuously, warning visitors that our site has been hacked.
For the avoidance of doubt, a visit to the site shows the red badge has been removed and Google has certified our site, OsazuwaAkonedo.news secured for visiting. All apps who earlier forbid visitors from reaching our site are now redirecting viewers to the site.
